Cling is designed around conversations and connections. That means some information can be personal or sensitive. We try to collect only what we need to run, secure and improve the service.
This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled by Cling through our apps, website and related services. It explains what we collect, why we use it, when it may be shared, how long we keep it, and the choices available to you.
By using Cling, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described here, subject to applicable law.

Some information you choose to provide may be considered sensitive information under applicable law, including information that reveals sexual orientation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, health information or other sensitive characteristics.
Where required, we will ask for your consent before collecting or using sensitive information. Please only share information you are comfortable providing to Cling and, where relevant, to other users.
If you use Cling's voice features, we may store and process the audio you submit so that it can be recorded, uploaded, delivered, played back, moderated, supported and kept secure.
Cling does not claim ownership of your voice. We do not use voice recordings for biometric identification or speaker authentication unless we introduce a feature that specifically requires it and provide appropriate notice and consent.
We do not sell your voice recordings. We also do not use private voice recordings to train public voice-cloning or general-purpose generative AI models unless we clearly tell you and obtain any consent required by law.
Content you add to your profile may be shown to other users according to the app's visibility and discovery settings. Messages and voice notes are delivered to the people you send them to.
We may access or review content when reasonably necessary to operate the service, respond to reports, investigate abuse, enforce our Terms, protect users, comply with legal obligations, or maintain the security of Cling.
Cling may use approximate or precise location information where you enable a location-based feature or grant device permission. Location can be used to show relevant profiles, improve discovery, prevent abuse and support app functionality.
You can change location permissions through your device settings. Some parts of Cling may not work properly without them.
We may automatically collect technical information such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, language, crash information, login activity, feature usage, timestamps and other diagnostic data.
We use this information to keep Cling working, detect suspicious activity, fix problems, understand feature performance and make the service better.

Where applicable law requires a particular legal basis or consent for processing, we will rely on the basis that applies to the relevant activity and seek consent where required.
We may share information with service providers that help us operate Cling, such as cloud hosting, communications, analytics, security, customer support and content moderation providers.
These providers are expected to handle information only for the services they provide to us and in line with appropriate contractual, privacy and security requirements.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, investigate misuse, protect someone from harm, enforce our Terms, or as part of a business sale, merger, financing or restructuring.
Some service providers may store or process information outside Australia. The countries involved can change as our infrastructure and providers change.
Where required by law, we will take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with applicable privacy obligations. We may update this section as our provider locations become more fixed.
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was collected, to operate and secure Cling, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, meet legal obligations or maintain appropriate business records.
Retention periods can differ by type of information. Deleted content may remain for a limited time in backups, logs, fraud-prevention systems or records we are legally required to keep before being removed in the ordinary course.
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and disclosure. No app, transmission method or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Please protect your login details and contact us if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
You may be able to review or update some information directly in the app. You may also contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to applicable law and any information we need to retain for legitimate legal, safety, fraud-prevention or recordkeeping reasons.
Deleting your account does not necessarily remove information that another user has independently retained, such as messages visible in their own conversation history, where permitted by law.
Cling is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the service. We do not knowingly allow people under 18 to use Cling.
If we reasonably believe an account belongs to someone under 18, we may suspend or remove it and take steps to delete associated information.
If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, contact us with enough detail for us to understand the issue. We will review the complaint and respond within a reasonable period.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have the right to raise a complaint with the relevant privacy regulator.
We may update this Privacy Policy as Cling changes. If an update is material, we may provide additional notice in the app, by email or through the website. The date at the top of this page shows when this version took effect.
These Terms apply when you create an account, access or use Cling. By using the service, you agree to follow them.
By creating an account, accessing or using Cling, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy above. If you do not agree, do not use Cling.
If you use Cling on behalf of a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into these Terms. You must not use Cling if you are prohibited from doing so under applicable law.
You are responsible for providing accurate information, keeping your login details secure, and for activity that occurs through your account unless that activity results from a security failure on our side.
You may not sell, transfer, rent or give your account to another person.
Cling is a platform for discovering, communicating with and potentially meeting other users. We do not guarantee matches, messages, replies, dates, relationships, compatibility or any other particular outcome.
Profiles and statements are mainly created by users. Unless we expressly say otherwise, Cling does not guarantee the identity, intentions, behaviour, honesty, safety, suitability or accuracy of any user or user-provided information.
Cling may use profile information, preferences and other signals to recommend profiles, rank discovery results, display compatibility information or personalise your experience.
These features are for discovery and informational purposes. They are not psychological, medical, relationship or professional advice, and they do not guarantee compatibility, attraction, safety or relationship success.
You agree not to use Cling to:
You keep ownership of content you submit to Cling, including profile text, photos, voice recordings and messages, subject to any rights held by other people in that content.
By submitting content, you grant Cling a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit and display that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, moderate and improve the service.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload the content you submit and that doing so does not unlawfully infringe another person's rights.
You are responsible for voice recordings, images and other media you submit. Do not upload content that unlawfully exposes another person's private information, uses their voice or likeness without appropriate permission, or violates intellectual property rights.
You are responsible for your own decisions and interactions with other users, including whether to communicate with, meet, travel with, provide information to, send money to or otherwise interact with another person.
Unless Cling expressly states otherwise for a particular feature, we do not routinely conduct criminal background checks, employment checks, psychological assessments or comprehensive identity verification of every user.
Cling may provide tools to report or block users. We may review reports and take action we consider reasonably appropriate, including warning, restricting, removing, suspending or terminating accounts or content.
We are not required to provide detailed information about moderation decisions where doing so could compromise privacy, safety, security, legal obligations or our ability to investigate abuse.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access to Cling where we reasonably believe this is necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, prevent fraud or misuse, address security risks, comply with law, or protect the service.
You may stop using Cling at any time and may request account deletion through the available account or support process.
Cling may rely on or link to services operated by other companies. Those services may have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
Cling and its licensors retain all rights in the service itself, including its software, design, branding, logos, interface elements and other material that is not user content.
These Terms do not give you ownership of Cling or permission to copy, reverse engineer, distribute or commercially exploit the service except where law expressly permits it.
We may add, remove, test, modify or discontinue features from time to time. We do not guarantee that Cling will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every device or network.
Where practical, we will try to avoid unnecessary disruption, but maintenance, outages, security incidents and third-party failures can occur.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cling is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not make guarantees about the conduct of users, the accuracy of profiles, the success of recommendations, the availability of the service or outcomes arising from use of Cling, except where a guarantee cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cling and its owners, operators, officers, employees, contractors and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary loss arising from or relating to your use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cling is not responsible for loss or harm caused by the acts or omissions of other users, inaccurate or misleading profile information, impersonation, scams, fraud by third parties, user-to-user communications, in-person meetings, voluntary disclosure of information, third-party services, outages, or unauthorised third-party conduct.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Cling against claims, losses, liabilities and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your content, your material breach of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights.
This indemnity does not apply to the extent a claim or loss was caused by Cling's own unlawful conduct, negligence or another matter for which liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
If you have a concern about Cling, please contact us first so we have a reasonable opportunity to understand and resolve it.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law, disputes may be brought before courts with jurisdiction in New South Wales.
We may update these Terms as Cling evolves. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the app, website or email. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means the updated Terms apply to your future use of Cling, to the extent permitted by law.
Cling can help people meet. It cannot remove the ordinary risks of talking to strangers online or meeting them in person.
Avoid sharing your home address, financial information, passwords or other sensitive details with someone you have just met.
Be cautious if someone asks for money, gift cards, transfers, crypto, account access or urgent financial help.
Choose a public place, arrange your own transport, and tell someone you trust where you are going.
You do not owe anyone continued conversation or a meeting. Block or report behaviour that feels unsafe, coercive or abusive.
Think carefully before sending private images, videos or recordings. Once shared, you may not be able to control where they go.
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services rather than relying on an in-app report.
